New Book Review Coming Soon

How's it going, everyone!

Happy Memorial Day weekend! It's been a while since I posted something on my blog, mostly because there hasn't been much to report in terms of publishing, and most of my time has been spent focusing on school and figuring out my plan for graduation (you know, the stuff I should be doing anyways). Full disclosure, I probably won't have a lot to say about my publishing progress for about another month, but I also don't want to abandon my blog until then.

Luckily, I think I've found a solution.

Most of you may not know that when I was in high school, I tried to regularly get in the habit of writing book reviews on Goodreads. It's something I always wanted to be good at, but given how much other stuff I had to do in high school, I wasn't always able to commit to reading books on a monthly basis. Now that my schedule has freed up a bit, and I've been able to explore more of the writing community, I think it's time to try this again, especially now that I have a blog and I'm trying to grow an audience through this new platform. I'm going to try and start a habit of writing book reviews more often because it is something I like doing, and it gives me something to talk about on my blog when I don't have a lot else to share.

The first book I'm going to review is The Savior's Champion, by Jenna Moreci. You've probably heard of this book by now if you're well versed into BookTube, since the author is a very well-known and well-respected AuthorTuber who's helped countless aspiring writers, myself included, learn how to perfect their craft and understand the complex nature of publishing. And no, before any of you ask, she isn't paying me to say any of this about her (as if she really needs the J. Taylor Baker stamp of approval to be a success). I'm just a big fan of her channel and I like to support other writers, especially ones who are self-published.

I'm about 60% through as of the time I'm writing this. I will commit to having my full review posted on June 10th.

That's all for now. If you liked this, you can sign up to receive notifications anytime I post new content.

Signing off,

JTB
