How's it going, everyone? I've taken some time off over the weekend to deal with some school-related issues, but now that I'm back, I have a really exciting announcement.
I recently found my first ever critique partner this last Wednesday on Twitter. For those of you who don't know, a critique partner is a fellow writer who agrees to read through your work and offer any suggestions and edits, provided that you do the same for them.
Laura Gibson Kudey has offered to read through my revised copy of The Laws of Vanity. During this time, I will be reading through her current draft of her exciting murder mystery/thriller, The Judas Killer.
I've put a link to her website down below in case any of you want to check her out. We're both still in development so any show of support goes a long way with both of us. Our plan is to get back to each other with our comments by June 9th. While I can't speak for Laura, this will likely be the last round of revisions for The Laws of Vanity, seeing as it was just recently reviewed by a professional editor. I think one last beta reader is all I really need to put on the finishing touches and make it suitable for publication, but I'll decide that for myself when Laura gets back to me. I'll be sure to keep you all posted on both The Cardorian Complex and The Laws of Vanity over the next few months.
Signing off,
JTB
